Guy Luzon not worried about Charlton Athletic future

Charlton Athletic boss Guy Luzon says that he is not thinking about his future at the club, despite the team going eight games without a win.

Charlton Athletic head coach Guy Luzon has insisted that he is not thinking about his future at the club, despite the team's slump in form.

The Addicks have gone eight games without a win in the Championship following Tuesday evening's 3-0 defeat to Preston North End.

Luzon, who has been Charlton boss since January, has suggested that his job has been made harder with the loss of several players to injury.

"I need to worry only about the next game, how I pick the team and how I encourage the squad to bring the result on Saturday," the 40-year-old told BBC Radio London.

"We know that we have a crisis with the injuries in the last two months. This is the situation. This is our squad. Without a pure wide player in the XI, it is difficult to create chances and get the result.

"I hope on Saturday some of them will come back and help us to choose a normal eleven with balance. Then we can play football."

Charlton, who face Brentford on Saturday, have dropped into the relegation zone after the defeat.
