Celtic to sell Moussa Dembele to Marseille?

Marseille have reportedly identified Celtic forward Moussa Dembele as a possible signing before the end of the transfer window.

The French club had hoped to sign Mario Balotelli this summer, only for the Italy international to extend his stay with fellow Ligue 1 outfit Nice.

That has resulted in Marseille looking at alternative options, and according to La Provence, an offer could be made for highly-regarded Dembele.

Celtic are keen to keep hold of the 22-year-old, but less than two years remain on the player's contract and there appears little desire to pen a new deal.

Marseille are said to be prepared to offer £17m, but although Celtic are looking for £20m, the Scottish champions may be tempted into a sale if they fail to earn a place in the group stages of the Europa League.
