Saturday's Scottish Premiership predictions including Aberdeen vs. Celtic

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Scottish Premiership fixtures, including Aberdeen vs. Celtic.

Aberdeen vs. Celtic (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Managerless Aberdeen welcome table-toppers Celtic to Pittodrie for a Scottish Premiership clash on Saturday, after sacking manager Barry Robson in midweek.

On a rare occasion where the main headline heading into a clash involving one of the Glasgow giants does not surround them, Aberdeen are currently being led by Peter Leven before a replacement is appointed.

We say: Aberdeen 0-3 Celtic

Aberdeen will be hoping to start with a clean slate following the dismissal of Robson, but they could not have asked for a more difficult fixture to start a new era with.

Celtic will sense an opposition devoid of confidence, and should take full advantage with a dominant display to extend their lead at the top to eight points before Rangers play.

Dundee vs. Hearts (Saturday, 3.00pm)

The most in-form side in the Scottish Premiership travel to another outfit making moves up the table, when Hearts make the trip to Dundee on Saturday.

Steven Naismith's side are running away from the chasing pack in third after a superb run of results both before and after the winter break.

We say: Dundee 0-2 Hearts

Results have been very varied between these two sides at Dens Park since Dundee's top-flight return in 2012, with the hosts 7-5 up in terms of wins in 13 meetings.

However, with Hearts' current form, it is hard to look past the visitors repeating the feat of their success over Dundee last month to maintain that healthy lead in third.

Hibernian vs. St Mirren (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Two of the Scottish Premiership's mid-table clubs will meet on Saturday as St Mirren make the trip to play Hibernian, looking to potentially break into the top four.

Pushing that high is not a possibility right now for the hosts, who will simply be concentrating on ending their five-match run without a win in the league.

We say: Hibernian 1-2 St Mirren

Hibernian are in the midst of a difficult run, and while playing at home might provide them with one advantage for this weekend it is unlikely to be a difference-maker.

Considering St Mirren are knocking on the door of European places at the moment, they should have enough quality to continue pushing on and take all three points.

Motherwell vs. Kilmarnock (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Two teams at opposite ends of the Scottish Premiership will meet on Saturday, with ninth-placed Motherwell hosting Kilmarnock, who sit in fourth.

Each will be pushing for points for vastly different reasons, and will be keen to get back to winning ways following draws in their most recent outings.

We say: Motherwell 1-1 Kilmarnock

Games between these two teams have proven to be close this season, and it has been clear that each team knows how to cause problems for the other.

Considering the impressive form that Motherwell are enjoying as of late, they could end up sharing the spoils with Kilmarnock.

Rangers vs. Livingston (Saturday, 3.00pm)

In a battle between one of Scottish football's giants and one of the most out-of-form sides in the country, Rangers welcome Livingston to Ibrox on Saturday.

The hosts are keeping the pressure on rivals Celtic at the top of the Premiership, while Livingston look resigned to relegation as they remain cut adrift at the bottom.

We say: Rangers 5-0 Livingston

In one of the biggest mismatches there is likely to be in the Premiership this season, Rangers should have little trouble in comfortably sweeping Livingston aside here.

The visitors have never won a competitive game at Ibrox in their history, and that is unlikely to change this weekend, given their current 15-game winless run.

Ross County vs. St Johnstone (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Two sides set for a battle against relegation this season meet in Dingwall on Saturday, when Ross County host St Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership.

The hosts currently occupy the relegation playoff spot, but St Johnstone are still in danger, sitting just above Ross County heading into the weekend.

We say: Ross County 1-1 St Johnstone

Both clubs are out of form, with Ross County struggling to pick up points both home and away at present.

St Johnstone's form on the road is the worst in the division, but in what is set to be a close encounter, a third successive 1-1 draw could be on the cards for Levein's men.
