Celtic ease past Dundee United

Scottish champions Celtic cruise past Dundee United 2-0.

Scottish Premiership champions Celtic eased past Dundee United 2-0 this afternoon.

Neil Lennon's men asserted their dominance once again with a comfortable victory which was secured by half time.

The visitors went ahead after just five minutes thanks to Giorgos Samaras, who brought down Kris Commons's delivery and fired the ball into the top corner from the middle of the box.

They scored a similar goal nearly 20 minutes later, although this time it was Anthony Stokes smashing in after a Commons cross.

Celtic eased through the second half as Leigh Griffiths missed a couple of chances, but they never looked like losing this one as they continued to play out the remainder of the season.
