Celtic to face Red Bull Salzburg, RB Leipzig in Europa League

Celtic have been handed tests against Red Bull Salzburg and RB Leipzig in the Europa League group stages.

The Scottish giants had been hoping to feature in the Champions League, but after losing in the third qualifying round, Brendan Rodgers's side claimed a place in the Europa League with victory over Suduva on Thursday night.

Celtic have been presented with the challenge of facing both clubs who are sponsored by energy drink Red Bull, with Austrian outfit Salzburg and German side Leipzig awaiting Rodgers and his squad.

The Glasgow outfit have also been handed a reunion with Rosenborg, whom they defeated in the second qualifying round of the Champions League earlier this summer.

The first matchday takes place on September 20.
