Saturday's Championship predictions including Bristol City vs. Fulham

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Saturday's Championship fixtures, including Bristol City vs. Fulham.

Reading vs. Middlesbrough (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Reading will be targeting a third successive win in the Championship when they host Middlesbrough on Saturday.

The Royals have been enjoying a good run of form since the international break, whereas Boro are struggling to find any rhythm.

We say: Reading 2-1 Middlesbrough

Reading's confidence will have been boosted by victory over Fulham, but big question marks hang over their defence. However, they come up against a Middlesbrough side yet to get going this season, so may still fancy their chances of victory.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Bournemouth vs. Luton (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Championship leaders Bournemouth will hope to continue their strong start to the season when they host Luton Town on Saturday.

The Cherries are two points clear at the top of the second tier, while Luton are three points off the playoffs in 12th – the same position they finished last season.

We say: Bournemouth 3-0 Luton Town

It is difficult to see this confident Bournemouth team not emerging victorious against a depleted Luton side. The Hatters may still be shaken after throwing away a three-goal lead last weekend, allowing the Cherries to breeze past them and retain top spot.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Birmingham vs. Preston (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Birmingham City will be aiming to bounce back from two convincing defeats when they host Preston North End on Saturday.

The Blues are currently 11th in the Championship table with 11 points, while the Lilywhites are 16th with nine points.

We say: Birmingham City 0-0 Preston North End

Bowyer will demand a response from his team after two consecutive defeats, but Preston are proving hard to beat so the Blues' task will not be straightforward; we think all the signs point towards a fourth consecutive draw in the league for the Lilywhites.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or draw.

Blackburn vs. Cardiff (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Blackburn Rovers will be looking to keep hold of their place in the playoffs when they welcome fellow promotion chasers Cardiff City to Ewood Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Blue and Whites have lost just one of their opening eight games and are sixth in the Championship, while Cardiff have slipped to 10th following back-to-back defeats.

We say: Blackburn Rovers 1-1 Cardiff City

There has not been a great deal of difference between these sides in the early stages of the season in terms of results and history suggests that this game is certain to be tight.

Seven of the last 10 league meetings between Blackburn and Cardiff have ended as draws, including both matches last season.

That includes a run of five successive draws at Ewood Park, though unlike the last two of those we cannot see this one finishing goalless.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Blackpool vs. Barnsley (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Blackpool's Josh Bowler celebrates with teammates after scoring their first goal on September 11, 2021© Reuters

Blackpool and Barnsley will both be looking to push away from the Championship relegation zone when they meet at Bloomfield Road on Saturday.

The two teams each have eight points – three above the bottom three – and sit 19th and 18th respectively.

We say: Blackpool 1-1 Barnsley

Barnsley will be strengthened by several returning players, but they come up against a Blackpool side who are growing in confidence every week; the Tykes are the Championship's draw specialists and we think this game will also end level.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Bristol City vs. Fulham (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Fulham head into Saturday's fixture with Bristol City at Ashton Gate looking to bounce back from two defeats in their last three Championship fixtures.

Despite sitting seven places adrift of the visitors, Bristol City can move to within a point of their opponents if they end their winless home streak.

We say: Bristol City 1-2 Fulham

This has all the makings of a competitive fixture, particularly with Fulham having lost momentum. Nevertheless, playing away from home may suit the Cottagers, who we are backing to edge this contest in the closing stages.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Nott'm Forest vs. Millwall (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Swansea City manager Steve Cooper on May 22, 2021© Reuters

Steve Cooper begins his Nottingham Forest reign with a Championship fixture at home to Millwall on Saturday afternoon.

Forest sit just four points adrift of the visitors, whose three successive draws have left them down in 17th position in the standings.

We say: Nottingham Forest 1-1 Millwall

Cooper will be determined to get off to a positive start in front of an expectant crowd. Nevertheless, he will likely settle for simply avoiding defeat, and Millwall's recent form suggests that a low-scoring draw is the most likely result.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Sheff Utd vs. Derby (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Sheffield United play host to Derby County on Saturday afternoon having put together a four-match unbeaten streak in the Championship.

While the Blades have moved into 14th position, Derby now sit bottom of the table after the EFL enforced a 12-point deduction for the club moving into administration.

We say: Sheffield United 3-0 Derby County

With both clubs moving in opposite directions over the past couple of weeks, this could prove to be a one-sided contest. While Derby will continue to fight for the cause, we see the Blades cruising to victory at Bramall Lane.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Stoke vs. Hull City (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Stoke City head into Saturday's Championship fixture with Hull City looking for the victory which will keep them in the top five of the standings.

Meanwhile, Hull remain in the bottom three after failing to win a single game since the opening day of the season.

We say: Stoke City 2-1 Hull City

Hull are under pressure to show something different at the bet365 Stadium given their recent dismal form. However, Stoke have made a habit of battling their way to result this seasons, and it could be no different on Saturday afternoon.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Swansea vs. Huddersfield (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Following a dramatic comeback last week, Swansea City will look to make a return to winning ways on Saturday, when they welcome Huddersfield Town to the Liberty Stadium.

The Swans trailed 3-0 against Luton but went on to salvage a point in impressive fashion, while their visitors will look to bounce back after a defeat to strugglers Nottingham Forest.

We say: Swansea City 1-1 Huddersfield Town

With both sides deploying identical systems and attempting a similar play style, we see them cancelling one another out on Saturday.

Swansea will take confidence from their comeback last week but are not faced with a simple task, and we predict a low-scoring draw.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.
