Stuart Armstrong is reportedly wanted by Brighton & Hove Albion and Crystal Palace, while Southampton and West Bromwich Albion could make an approach for the Celtic ace.

Celtic midfielder Stuart Armstrong is reportedly at the centre of a transfer tug-of-war between Premier League rivals Brighton & Hove Albion and Crystal Palace.

The Hoops are said to be willing to offload the Scotland international to the highest bidder as he is now into the final 12 months of his contract.

Despite Armstrong's influence on Celtic diminishing last season, with just 15 Scottish Premiership starts to his name, Brighton are rumoured to have made their interest known.

According to the Daily Record, it may be a straight battle between Albion and Palace as both side are looking for a new creative midfielder.

Separate reports indicate that Southampton maintain a long-running interest, however, and West Bromwich Albion may also be in contention for his signature.

Armstrong signed a one-year extension to his contract at Paradise last year following a six-month standoff with Celtic.
