Brighton & Hove Albion have appointed Oscar Garcia to the newly-created head coach position at the club.

The 40-year-old, who had spells at Barcelona and Valencia during his playing career, will take up the role from tomorrow morning.

In a statement released by the club, Garcia said: "I am delighted to have the opportunity to work in English football for the first time. Brighton & Hove Albion is one of the most exciting and progressive clubs in the country."
