Brighton & Hove Albion skipper Gordon Greer wants to face full-strength Arsenal

Greer wants to face full-strength Arsenal

Brighton & Hove Albion captain Gordon Greer has insisted that he doesn't want to face a weakened Arsenal side in tomorrow's FA Cup fourth-round tie.

The Seagulls host the Gunners in the fourth round for the second time in three years, almost two years to the day since they were edged out 3-2 by Arsene Wenger's side.

While he praised the quality of the current holders, Greer wants to test himself against some of the country's best players.

"If you ask anyone in the dressing room they'd rather see the strongest Arsenal team out there," he told Brighton's website. "It will be great for us to see how we compete against them as it's something you don't get the opportunity to do very often. "This is something we are all looking forward to. As players you don't play football to face the easy sides, you want to play against the best players and there are some great players in that team."

Brighton enter the match after recording just their third home win all season over high-flying Ipswich Town in the Championship on Wednesday.
