Warburton confident of Gray stay

Brentford boss Mark Warburton has revealed that he expects Andre Gray to stay at the club amid speculation over the striker's future.

The 23-year-old scored his ninth goal of the season on Saturday as the Bees earned a 3-1 win at home to Blackburn Rovers in the Championship.

While Gray's form has seen him linked with a move away from Brentford, Warburton believes that the youngster is keen to remain at Griffin Park.

"He loves scoring goals and that is a big part of the character of a centre-forward," he told BBC Sport. "He genuinely enjoys it. He was a handful, he gave their two centre-halves a torrid afternoon.

"Everyone has a price. The owner will decide the price. That's life, and we would replace him. But right now this is a good place. I think anyone would think long and hard before leaving here."

Saturday's victory has kept Brentford in fifth place in the Championship table.
