Al-Habsi makes Brighton debut

Ali Al-Habsi has gone straight into the Brighton & Hove Albion starting XI for this evening's Championship match along the South Coast at Bournemouth.

The Omani joined the Seagulls on loan from Wigan Athletic yesterday and starts in place of the injured David Stockdale between the sticks.

Al-Habsi's debut is one of four changes in the visitors' lineup from their last league game at Rotherham United, with Aaron Hughes, Joao Teixeira and Sam Baldock also coming in.

Eddie Howe goes with the same Bournemouth XI that achieved a club-record away victory at Birmingham City last week. The in-form Cherries are chasing a fifth straight win in the league.

Bournemouth: Boruc; Francis, Cook, Elphick, Daniels; Pugh, Arter, Surman, Ritchie; Wilson, Pitman Subs: Camp, Smith, Harte, Gosling, Kermorgant, Fraser, Rantie

Brighton: Al-Habsi; Hughes, Dunk, Greer, Bennett; Holla, Forster-Caskey, Gardner; Teixeira, Colunga, Baldock Subs: Walton, Calderon, Chicksen, Ince, McCourt, LuaLua, Mackail-Smith
