Eddie Howe: 'Bournemouth have to become ruthless to survive in Premier League'

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe insists that his side have to become more clinical in the final third to turn their promising displays into points in the Premier League.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has called on his side to start turning their good performances into points ahead of their match with Everton.

The Cherries are currently on a seven-match winless run in the Premier League, although they did take a point from their last outing against Swansea City, which saw them spurn a two-goal lead at the Liberty Stadium.

Howe has admitted that he is sick of seeing his side play well without earning the rewards after 90 minutes, and has demanded that his team become more ruthless.

"The last two games have been right up there as our best performances in a long, long time," Howe told reporters.

"We have been dominant with the ball and dominant with the chances, but we just haven't found those elusive goals when we've needed them.

"The frustration is that we feel we are very close to winning games, but that has to be proved."

Bournemouth are 19th in the Premier League after 13 matches this season.
