Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe wins Championship Manager of the Month award

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has been named as the Championship's Manager of the Month for October.

The Cherries picked up four consecutive victories last month to establish themselves as serious promotion contenders.

One of those wins was an emphatic 8-0 thrashing of Birmingham City at St Andrew's which was the club's biggest ever triumph in a league fixture.

Howe's side moved to the top of the table on Tuesday night with a 2-0 win away to Sheffield Wednesday.

Bournemouth are back in action on Saturday when they make the trip to second-placed Middlesbrough.
