Alex Iwobi brace sinks Bayern Munich's youngsters

A double from Alex Iwobi helps Arsenal's Under-19s to beat Bayern Munich in their UEFA Youth League encounter.

Alex Iwobi scored both goals as Arsenal's Under-19 side recorded a 2-0 victory over their Bayern Munich counterparts in the UEFA Youth League this afternoon.

The Nigerian, who recently signed a new contract at the Emirates Stadium, broke the deadlock in the 73rd minute when he found the top corner of the net from the edge of the Bayern penalty area.

He then went on to double his team's advantage at the back post five minutes later after he had been picked out by Donyell Malen.

The result means that the Gunners are top of Group F, having taken maximum points from their first three games.

This evening, Arsenal's senior side will take on Bayern in the Champions League in North London, where they will look to record their maiden victory of the campaign.
