Arsenal run out 3-0 winners over Bristol Academy to lift their 12th FA Women's Cup.

Arsenal Ladies ran out convincing 3-0 winners over Bristol Academy in the FA Women's Cup final at Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium.

It took less than two minutes for Arsenal to take the lead as Rachel Yankey's cross found the head of captain Steph Houghton.

Arsenal continued to dominate and, after earlier hitting the post, Jordan Nobbs found the net on 72 minutes with a well-placed header.

Ellen White powered home a third to give Arsenal their 12th FA Cup win.

New Arsenal coach Shelley Kerr said: "For me it's all about the players - they have been exceptional today."

The reigning Super League champions are the most successful women's club in England and have now won 39 major trophies since they were formed in 1987.
