Saturday's Premier League predictions including Liverpool vs. Chelsea

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Saturday's Premier League fixtures, including Manchester City vs. Arsenal and Liverpool vs. Chelsea.

Man City vs. Arsenal (Saturday, 12.30pm)

The professor meets the protege at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday lunchtime, as Manchester City take on Arsenal in gameweek three of the 2021-22 Premier League season.

Both sides recorded crushing victories in their most recent encounters, with City easing to a 5-0 success over Norwich City while the Gunners thrashed West Bromwich Albion 6-0 in the EFL Cup.

We say: Manchester City 3-1 Arsenal

The timely returns of Aubameyang and Lacazette - who both scored in midweek - will prove priceless to Arsenal on the attacking front, and the Gunners are in a far better position now than they were against Chelsea.

However, the same old problems are still there for Arteta, whose side should put up more of a fight but will be blown away by the supremacy of the reigning champions.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Aston Villa vs. Brentford (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Seeking to maintain their unbeaten start to life in the Premier League, Brentford travel to Aston Villa in gameweek three on Saturday afternoon.

Dean Smith's side advanced in the EFL Cup with a 6-0 thrashing of Barrow in midweek, while the Bees also advanced with a nail-biting 3-1 success over Forest Green Rovers.

We say: Aston Villa 1-0 Brentford

Brentford's defensive resilience will be broken at some point, and while Villa still have some concerns on the attacking front to work around, it is difficult to see Smith's men not finding the back of the net here.

The visitors undoubtedly deserve credit for their solid start to life in the big time, but their momentum may be halted here as Smith's side aim to grind out a hard-fought win.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Brighton vs. Everton (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Brighton & Hove Albion will be looking to make it three wins from three matches at the start of the 2021-22 Premier League season when they welcome Everton to the Amex on Saturday afternoon.

The Seagulls are currently fourth in the table on six points, while Everton have also made an encouraging start, collecting four points from their two fixtures under Rafael Benitez's leadership.

We say: Brighton & Hove Albion 1-1 Everton

Both of these sides have impressed in the early stages of the season, and we are expecting a tight match on Saturday afternoon. It would not be a surprise to see either a home win or an away win, but we have ultimately settled on a low-scoring draw at the Amex.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Newcastle vs. Southampton (Saturday, 3.00pm)

With both sides still winless in the new Premier League season, Newcastle United welcome Southampton to St James' Park for Saturday's top-flight encounter.

Steve Bruce's side go into the game after being knocked out of the EFL Cup on penalties by Burnley, while the Saints put eight unanswered goals past Newport County in round two.

We say: Newcastle United 2-2 Southampton

Newcastle's stellar record against Southampton at St James' Park cannot be overlooked, but morale is far higher in the visitors' camp at this moment in time.

Southampton may just edge it on paper, but the home advantage phenomenon is back in full swing as crowds return, and we can envisage an entertaining encounter finishing all square as both sides continue to search for that elusive first win.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Norwich vs. Leicester (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Leicester City will be looking to bounce back from Monday's heavy defeat at West Ham United when they continue their Premier League season away to Norwich City on Saturday afternoon.

The Foxes suffered a 4-1 loss to West Ham in their last fixture, while Norwich have lost heavily to Liverpool and Manchester City in their opening two league matches of the 2021-22 campaign.

We say: Norwich City 1-2 Leicester City

Norwich's performance against Bournemouth during the week would have raised confidence in the camp, but Leicester will be determined to bounce back from their defeat at West Ham. We are expecting a tight and potentially cagey clash at Carrow Road but have just backed the visitors to emerge victorious.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

West Ham vs. Crystal Palace (Saturday, 3.00pm)

West Ham United will be looking to continue their impressive start to the 2021-22 Premier League season when they welcome Crystal Palace to the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Hammers are currently top of the table with six points from their first two matches, while Palace are down in 14th, having collected one point from their opening two fixtures of the campaign.

We say: West Ham United 2-1 Crystal Palace

Palace's record recent against West Ham, as mentioned, is impressive, and we can see this being a tricky encounter for the Hammers. That said, Moyes's side have looked strong in the early stages of the campaign, and we are expecting the hosts to collect another three points to continue their fine start.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Liverpool vs. Chelsea (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Liverpool's Roberto Firmino celebrates scoring against Norwich City in the Premier League on August 14, 2021© Reuters

With their 100% starts to the season on the line, Liverpool and Chelsea prepare for a blockbuster Premier League clash at Anfield on Saturday evening.

Jurgen Klopp's side saw off Burnley 2-0 in gameweek two, while Chelsea eased to victory at Arsenal by the same scoreline.

We say: Liverpool 1-2 Chelsea

Something has to give in this crunch battle between two of the league's eye-catching performers, but the calibre of their respective early opponents must be taken into account.

Tuchel's staunch rearguard will consider themselves fortunate if they do not concede against the Reds, but with attacking threat coming from all areas, we think the Blues' firepower will help them maintain their perfect start to the season at the expense of Liverpool's.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.
