Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Arsenal

Sports Mole rounds up all of Manchester City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Arsenal.

Manchester City return to Premier League action on Saturday afternoon as they square off against Arsenal.

After an opening-weekend defeat at Tottenham Hotspur, City responded in clinical fashion as they posted a 5-0 victory over Norwich City at the Etihad Stadium.

While Pep Guardiola has minimal fitness problems ahead of a second successive home fixture, two of his star men are still looking to shake off lingering issues.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Man City's injury and suspension news ahead of the encounter with the Gunners.

Phil Foden

Status: Out
Type of injury: Foot
Possible return date: September 11 (vs. Leicester City)

Phil Foden sustained a foot injury en route to the Euro 2020 final with England, and Guardiola affirmed earlier this month that the attacker would be out for a "while", effectively ruling him out of this game.

Kevin De Bruyne

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: September 11 (vs. Leicester)

Carrying a niggling ankle issue, the decision was made to keep Kevin De Bruyne on the sidelines for the game with Norwich. Despite having a week longer to recover, Guardiola has revealed that the Belgian will remain absent from his squad.

MAN CITY'S SUSPENSION LIST

City have no players suspended for this match.
