Ljungberg leaves Japan

Former Arsenal midfielder Fredrik Ljungberg has left Japanese side S-Pulse by mutual consent.

The Swede has revealed that he decided to call time on his career in the Far East because of a "difference in vision".

However, the 34-year-old was keen to stress that he thoroughly enjoyed his stint in the J-League.

"I loved my time in Japan, and I am grateful to have had the chance to live in Japan and embrace the Japanese culture," said the former Sweden international.

Ljungberg has recently been linked with a move to League One side MK Dons.
