Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. West Ham United

Arsenal injury, suspension list vs. West Ham

Arsenal seek a safe passage into the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup when they head to the London Stadium for a last-16 date with West Ham United on Wednesday night.

Mikel Arteta's troops sneaked past Brentford 1-0 in their knockout opener in September, prevailing courtesy of a Reiss Nelson effort and several crucial interventions from Aaron Ramsdale.

The Gunners warmed up for the London derby with a 5-0 home hammering of Sheffield United in the Premier League, remaining unbeaten in the division thanks to an Eddie Nketiah treble and late strikes from Fabio Vieira and Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with the Hammers, who edged past Lincoln City 1-0 in their third-round affair.

Jurrien Timber

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

After his Premier League debut was brutally cut short in August, Jurrien Timber was confirmed to have suffered an ACL injury, and it remains to be seen whether the Dutch defender can return before the end of the 2023-24 campaign.

Gabriel Jesus

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: November 25 (vs. Brentford)

After banking a goal and assist against Sevilla in the Champions League, Gabriel Jesus left the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan turf with a hamstring problem, which Arteta has now confirmed will sideline him for a "few weeks".

Thomas Partey

Status: Out Type of injury: Muscle Possible return date: November 25 (vs. Brentford)

Similarly, Thomas Partey will not be available for the time being owing to the muscle injury he recently sustained in training, but the Ghana international could target a return after the next international break.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no players suspended for this match.
