Arsene Wenger: 'Jack Wilshere out for a while'

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger reveals that Jack Wilshere is due to be out of action "for a while" with his latest ankle injury.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that Jack Wilshere will be "out for a while" with the ankle injury that he suffered against Manchester United.

The midfielder was forced off at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday during the Gunners' 2-1 defeat to United in the Premier League.

The 22-year-old, who will miss tomorrow's clash with Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, is expected to be sidelined for the foreseeable future.

"Wilshere will be out for a while," the Frenchman told reporters. "He has to see a specialist next week to see for how long he will be out for."

Wilshere has scored one goal in 16 games for Arsenal so far this season.
