Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Leeds United

Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's Premier League meeting with Leeds United.

Arsenal return to Premier League action on Sunday following a two-week break with a trip to Leeds United.

The Gunners suffered a shock 3-0 home loss to Aston Villa last time out and are in desperate need of a response at Elland Road.

Manager Mikel Arteta has had a fortnight to ponder what went wrong for Arsenal, with his side down in 11th place after eight matches.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their meeting with Leeds, who are two points worse off in 15th.

Reiss Nelson

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: November 22 (vs. Leeds)

Nelson sustained a knee injury before the international break and has missed Arsenal's last two matches. After some time to rest up, however, the academy product may be fit enough to return this weekend.

Pablo Mari

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: December 3 (vs. Rapid Vienna)

Mari has been absent since June but is now in the final stages of his recovery from an ankle injury. The centre-back is back in light training but is still thought to be a couple of weeks away from a return to first-team action.

Calum Chambers

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Fitness
Possible return date: November 21 (vs. Leeds)

Chambers is now back in full training having not featured at all this calendar year. However, the Englishman, who has recovered from a serious knee injury, is in need of minutes and that may have to wait until the Europa League resumes next week.

Gabriel Martinelli

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

While Martinelli is making steady progress in his recovery from a knee injury, the Brazilian is still facing a race against time to feature before the end of 2020.

Mohamed Elneny

Status: Out
Type of injury: Coronavirus
Possible return date: November 26 (vs. Molde)

Elneny tested positive for coronavirus while away on international duty with Egypt and is self-isolating in Cairo. The midfielder will undergo another test to determine whether he can return to London ahead of Thursday's Europa League clash with Molde.

Sead Kolasinac

Status: Out
Type of injury: Coronavirus
Possible return date: November 26 (vs. Molde)

Bosnia & Herzegovina defender Kolasinac also contracted COVID-19 while on international duty and missed Wednesday's UEFA Nations League meeting with Italy. Like Elneny, Kolasinac will have to test negative before he can think about returning to training.

Thomas Partey

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: November 22 (vs. Leeds)

Partey was taken off against Villa with a thigh problem and was forced to pull out of Ghana's squad for their final batch of fixtures this year. The tough-tackling midfielder remained at Arsenal's training base and is expected to be back in contention to face Leeds.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no suspension concerns ahead of this encounter.
