Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini has hailed his teammates' hard work in the 2-0 defeat against Bayern Munich.
Flamini, who played the full 90 minutes in last night's clash at the Emirates Stadium, also believes that it will now be tough for the Gunners to progress any further in the Champions League after Bayern's second goal late on.
"I'm very proud of the way we defended especially in the second half," Flamini is quoted as saying by Goal.com. "We conceded the penalty and of course playing 10 against 11 it was more difficult.
"I'm disappointed because I think 1-0 would have been great for us because we could go over there and try to score the goal. Now we are 2-0 down it will be difficult but as footballers we have to learn. But I am proud of the team and the way everyone worked hard today."
Arsenal are back in action on Saturday when they host Sunderland in the Premier League.
