On the flip side, Heracles are five points away from the last European playoff place, and any dropped points from here on could signal the end of their continental aspirations.

Ajax play host to AZ Alkmaar on Sunday afternoon knowing that victory could be enough to retain the Eredivisie title.

However, if third-placed AZ prevail at the Johan Cruyff Arena, the lead at the top of the standings will be cut to nine points with four matches remaining.

After their disappointing result in midweek, we expect Ajax to come out firing on all cylinders. While AZ will make things difficult for the home side, Ten Hag's men could edge their way to victory, potentially with a late goal.

ADO Den Haag will look to end the Eredivisie's longest active winless run when they welcome Fortuna Sittard to the Cars Jeans Stadion on Sunday.

FC Twente lock horns with FC Utrecht at the Grolsch Veste Stadium on Sunday looking to end a run of seven games without a win.

The away side are unbeaten in their last six games on the road, and they will aim to extend that run in order to keep up with their rivals in the race for European qualification.

Feyenoord vs. Vitesse (Sunday, 3.45pm)

Feyenoord have an opportunity to move into fourth place in the Eredivisie table when they host Vitesse at the De Kuip Stadium in Rotterdam on Sunday.

De Stadionclub came back to beat Utrecht 2-1 in their previous match, while Ajax scored in injury time last weekend to deny Vitesse a chance to win their second Dutch Cup.

These are two evenly-matched teams separated by two points in the standings, while Vitesse have conceded one goal fewer than their opponents.
