Ten-man Aberdeen come from behind for draw

Ten-man Aberdeen come from behind for draw

Ten-man Aberdeen had to come from behind to share a 1-1 draw with Ross County in the Scottish Premiership this evening.

The visitors started well, as Barry Robson tested Mark Brown with a header in the sixth minute, but the Ross County keeper held on to the ball.

The home side were able to take the lead though, as Graham Carey looped the ball in for Melvin De Leeuw, who headed in from the middle of the box.

Michael Tidser tried to double their lead shortly before the break, but his long-range strike went high of the bar.

Aberdeen pressed hard for an equaliser in the second half, but some solid defending prevented them from getting a sight of the home side's goal for the majority of the spell.

However, Adam Rooney managed to drill the ball in low after Brown parried a Niall McGinn ball into his path with just over 10 minutes left to play.

The visitors had a nervous final few minutes as Andrew Considine picked up his second booking in the last five minutes, leaving Aberdeen a man short late on, but they were able to hold on for the draw.
