Celtic knocked out of cup by Aberdeen

Aberdeen came back from a goal down to knock Celtic out of the Scottish Cup this afternoon with a 2-1 win.

Anthony Stokes gave the champions the lead on eight minutes when he brought down Giorgios Samaras's long pass before finishing it off.

Russell Anderson struck the visitors' equaliser on 38 minutes when he hooked home after the ball fell to him in the box from a corner.

Peter Pawlett put Aberdeen ahead when he fired a low effort in off the post five minutes after the restart to send the Bhoys crashing out of the Cup.
