Wolverhampton Wanderers trying to sign new striker

Kenny Jackett reveals that he has not been able to bolster his attacking options at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have failed with "multiple bids for strikers since Saturday night".

Head coach Kenny Jackett has been in the market for a new centre-forward due to the fact that Nouha Dicko has been ruled out for the season with a knee injury.

However, with today's 6pm deadline approaching, it would appear that Jackett's numerous pursuits will be unsuccessful.

A post on the club's official Twitter feed read: "Kenny has also given an update ahead of the closing of the transfer window at 6pm. Says Wolves have put in multiple bids for strikers since Saturday night but clubs have been unwilling to sell."

Jackett also confirmed that Rajiv van La Parra would remain at Molineux, despite recent speculation that he was close to a move to Leeds United.
