Wolves to hold talks with Clayton

Wolverhampton Wanderers have confirmed that they will hold talks with Max Clayton over his future at the club.

The former Crewe Alexandra striker has had a trial with the Championship side, featuring in their 1-1 draw with Celta Vigo.

Manager Kenny Jackett told Express and Star: "I'll speak to him first and see where we are. Whether that's a prolonged trial or another game, we'll see.

"Max has completed his week and [head of development and recruitment] Kevin Thelwell was here on Saturday as well to see him.

"We'll talk about the situation with him, he had a decent week and looks a very good footballer and although he didn't have much time out there, I don't think he looked out of place."

The 19-year-old came through the youth ranks at Crewe before making his senior debut in 2011.
