Wolves seal Byrne signing from Swindon

Winger Nathan Byrne has left Swindon Town to sign a three-year deal with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

On Monday, reports emerged that the two clubs had agreed a fee in the region of £1m, and the Championship outfit have now confirmed that Byrne has signed a contract at Molineux until 2018.

Head coach Kenny Jackett told the club's official website: "Nathan is an exciting young player who can play wide on either side, or as number 10 behind the striker.

"He has developed into a very good attacking player in League One over the last couple of seasons in a very good and successful Swindon team.

"We think that the time is now right to step into the Championship and come to a club like Wolves and really help us to push forward."

Byrne, who began his career at Tottenham Hotspur, scored 10 goals in 77 appearances during his time at Swindon.
