Wolves hand trial to Ruyssen

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett has registered an interest in Gent defender Gilles Ruyssen.

Jackett has been forced to consider other targets after his long-term interest in Harry Maguire ended when the centre-back signed for Hull City.

That has resulted in the Molineux head coach handing a trial to the 20-year-old, who made his first-team debut for the Belgian team on the final day of last season.

Ruyssen featured in Wolves' 4-1 victory at Chester FC on Tuesday evening.
