Wolves fail to agree deal with Wood

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett has revealed that their move for Leicester City striker Chris Wood is off.

It was reported over the weekend that Wolves were keen to talk to the New Zealand international, and it appeared likely that talks would progress positively this week.

However, after seeing his team lose 3-2 to Northampton Town in the League Cup, Jackett told reporters that both parties couldn't come to an agreement.

Wood could still exit the King Power Stadium before the end of the transfer window after falling down the pecking order at the Premier League outfit.
