Wolves eye swoop for Boro's Kike?

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly plotted a late move for Middlesbrough striker Kike.

Wolves recently lost the services of leading goalscorer Benik Afobe to Bournemouth and despite having bolstered his attacking ranks by signing Joe Mason from Cardiff City, head coach Kenny Jackett is said to be on the hunt for another centre-forward.

According to The Mirror, Jackett has made £2m-rated Kike his number one target before tomorrow evening's deadline.

The report adds that the Spaniard may be considered surplus to requirements at the Riverside Stadium as Boro close in on Blackburn Rovers frontman Jordan Rhodes.

Kike, who joined the Teesiders from Murcia in 2014, has scored four goals from his 19 Championship outings this season.
