Wolverhampton Wanderers eye double loan deal

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Dean Saunders reveals that the club are trying to secure at least two loan deals before tomorrow's deadline.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Dean Saunders has revealed that the club are trying to bring in at least two players on a loan basis.

The Championship outfit are struggling with options due to the absence of goalkeeper Carl Ikeme, midfielder Bakary Sako and Dave Edwards.

While the club's targets are unknown, it has been suggested that Wolves were once interested in Stoke City striker Cameron Jerome.

In order to bring in reinforcements for the remainder of the campaign, Wolves must wrap up any deals before tomorrow's 5pm loan deadline.

"We're still right in the middle of trying to get people in now," the Express & Star quotes Saunders as saying. "We were trying to get a few things through yesterday if we could, but it didn't happen.

"We're trying as we speak, because we're a bit short up front and we've lost Bakary Sako and Dave Edwards so we're without those two and Carl Ikeme, Wayne Hennessey, Razak Boukari and George Elokobi. We're looking a bit short in certain areas. But I'm trying to do something about it right now."

Wolves, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, are second from bottom in the league table.
