Traore 'to have Wolves medical on Monday'

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly moved a step closer to signing Adama Traore from Middlesbrough for a club-record fee.

The 22-year-old has remained on Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo's transfer list, despite Boro knocking back a previous offer of £12m.

Sky Sports News suggests that a deal has now been struck, and the tricky winger will undergo a medical with the Premier League new boys on Monday.

Barcelona academy product Traore, who scored five and assisted 10 more in 36 Championship outings last term, is expected to set Wanderers back £18m as they have triggered his release clause.

Ruben Neves is Wolves' current record signing, the club having spent £15m to sign the Portuguese midfielder from Porto last year.
