Report: Boro reject Wolves' bid for Traore

Premier League new boys Wolverhampton Wanderers have had a bid rejected by Middlesbrough for winger Adama Traore, according to a report.

Wolves are said to have prioritised signing the Barcelona academy product in the closing stages of the transfer window to complete their summer spending.

Traore has an £18m release clause written into his contract, but the Express & Star suggests that the Molineux outfit have no intention of matching that valuation.

Boro are standing firm, though, having rejected an undisclosed offer from Wolves for their prized asset, who scored five goals and set up 10 more in the second tier last season.

Huddersfield Town are also understood be in interested in signing Traore after selling Tom Ince to Stoke City last week.
