Richard Stearman joins Ipswich Town on loan

Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Richard Stearman has agreed to join fellow Championship outfit Ipswich Town on loan for the rest of the season.

The 25-year-old, who trained with the Blues on Tuesday, will be reunited with former Wolves boss Mick McCarthy and assistant manager Terry Connor at Portman Road.

Stearman told reporters: "I have obviously worked under Mick and TC before and that was a big factor in me coming here."

Ipswich currently occupy 21st spot in the Championship table.
