Ruben Neves "really happy" at Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves once again plays down talk of a summer exit after being linked with AC Milan.

Ruben Neves has reiterated that he intends to stay on at Wolverhampton Wanderers next season after helping the club to Premier League promotion.

The Portuguese midfielder was in the running for the division's Player of the Year award after playing an instrumental part in Wolves' return to the top flight.

Neves has a long-term contract at Molineux and has previously played down links with some big-name clubs, with AC Milan the latest to have reportedly made their interest known.

Speaking during Monday's promotion parade through Wolverhampton, the former Porto man stressed that he sees his future in the West Midlands.

"I came here to help the club and the club has helped me as well," he told Sky Sports News. "I think we achieved all our goals, as an individual and as a team.

"It is normal as big clubs see our work, not just me but all the boys, but I am really happy here. I want to stay here and I want to enjoy the Premier League with this fantastic club."

Neves, a near-£16m signing from Porto last summer, ended his first campaign in English football with six goals and one assist.
