Pennant joins Wolves on loan

Jermaine Pennant has joined Wolverhampton Wanderers on a three-month emergency loan from Stoke City.

Pennant revealed that he had been given permission to leave the club on loan earlier today in order to play first-team football.

Championship side Wolves were quick to act, snapping up the former Liverpool winger on an emergency loan.

The deal will keep the 29-year-old at the Molineux until January.

Pennant, who joined Stoke in 2010, has found himself out of favour at the Britannia so far this season, making just one appearance.
