Moxey: 'Wolves will strengthen in January'

Wolverhampton Wanderers chief executive Jez Moxey believes that the League One side need to improve their squad during January.

Wolves currently sit in second position in the league table, but after just two wins in nine games, Moxey has insisted that Kenny Jackett's squad needs strengthening ahead of the second half of the campaign.

Moxey told the Birmingham Mail: "We won't be drawn on individuals, but what we are going to say is that we will try to strengthen the team if we can because we think that it needs it."

Crystal Palace striker Kevin Phillips has been linked with a move to Molineux after revealing that he wants to move to a club nearer his Midlands home.
