Batth signs Wolves extension

Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Danny Batth has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract extension with the League One club.

The 23-year-old's new terms will see him remain at Molineux until summer 2017.

Batth joined the Wolves academy 13 years ago before going on to make his senior debut in 2010.

"There have been some lengthy negotiations throughout this process," BBC Sport quotes Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey as saying.

"But Danny's performances have remained consistently high. It is no surprise that he is very popular among the club's supporters."

Batth has scored one goal in 30 appearances for Wolves so far this season.
