Wolverhampton Wanderers win 10-goal thriller at Molineux

Nouha Dicko scores a hat-trick for Wolverhampton Wanderers against Rotherham United in their 6-4 win at Molineux.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have defeated Rotherham United 6-4 in their League One clash at Molineux.

The first chance of the game fell to Wolves' Richard Stearman after just three minutes, but his close-range header went over the crossbar.

However, it was the visitors who took the lead when Kieran Agard headed home Michael O'Connor's delivery on 14 minutes.

The home side restored parity just seven minutes later, as Bakary Sako drilled in a cross for Nouha Dicko to turn in from just yards out.

Kenny Jackett's team surged ahead in the 34th minute through Dicko, who scored his second goal of the afternoon after latching on to Sako's pass.

It was 3-1 to Wolves by half time as David Edwards found the net on 38 minutes after collecting Scott Golbourne's pass.

Rotherham showed signs of a comeback in the second half when they pulled a goal back just after the hour mark.

It was again Agard who scored, shooting home O'Connor's cross with his right foot.

Then it all kicked off with six minutes of normal time left on the clock. Joe Skarz scored for Rotherham and four minutes later Agard made it 4-4, completing his hat-trick in the process.

However, it was already-promoted Wolves who secured the points with the ninth goal of the contest in the final minute of normal time, Sam Ricketts on target from close range.

Then in the seventh minute of injury time, Kevin McDonald made it 6-4 to the hosts, this time Dicko turning the provider.
