Wolves terminate Connor contract

Wolverhampton Wanderers have terminated the contract of assistant manager Terry Connor with immediate effect.

Long-time assistant Connor became manager of Wolves when they sacked Mick McCarthy in February, but he was unable to save the club from relegation to the Championship.

In May, the 49-year-old was replaced by Stale Solbakken, who made the decision to keep Connor at the club as assistant manager.

However, after the club's indifferent start to the season, Solbakken and Wolves have now chosen to part ways with Connor.
