Nuno: 'Wolves promotion is worldwide news'

Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo says that news of Wolverhampton Wanderers' promotion to the Premier League has "covered the world".

Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has said that he will try to keep his Wolverhampton Wanderers squad in the present, despite acknowledging the scale of their promotion back to the Premier League.

Last weekend, Wolves' return to the top flight was confirmed with three Championship games remaining, and Nuno has reiterated that he will not let his side lose focus ahead of their upcoming matches.

However, the Portuguese has claimed that Wolves' promotion has made news all around the world, which he feels highlights the size of the West Midlands club.

The 44-year-old is quoted by the club's official website as saying: "I think the repercussions that Wolves are back in the Premier League has covered the world. It's a very big club that I personally think belongs among the best teams in England.

"The impact is all over the world. Back in the 50s and the 60s, you just have to visit our museum, it says a lot about the history of the club. The competition has not finished, nobody is planning for next season, it's the worst thing that we could do and we will not allow that.

"You have to deal with your present, the best way to build whatever comes to us is to finish well."

Wolves will win the second-tier title if they can achieve a point from Saturday's encounter at Bolton Wanderers.
