Kenny Jackett: 'Wolverhampton Wanderers capable of promotion'

Wolves boss Kenny Jackett believes that his team is capable of gaining promotion from the Championship following their 2-1 win at Leeds United on Saturday.

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Kenny Jackett has insisted that his team can gain promotion to the Premier League following their win over Leeds United.

Wolves moved up to third place in the Championship table on Saturday as they came away from Elland Road with a 2-1 victory.

Despite doubts over whether his players can remain consistent for the rest of the season, Jackett believes that they are good enough to finish in the top six.

"We are aiming to get one of the promotion places. We have made a solid start and are in a good position and are showing we are capable," he told BBC Sport.

"This is a tight division and I have not seen anyone who is streets ahead, so perhaps being the newcomers can help us."

Wolves continue their Championship campaign next Saturday when they entertain local rivals Birmingham City.
