Karl Henry: 'Wolverhampton Wanderers are better than I thought'

Bolton Wanderers midfielder Karl Henry says that former club Wolves are 'better than he thought' after the West Midlands outfit ran out 5-1 winners last weekend.

Midfielder Karl Henry has admitted that former club Wolverhampton Wanderers "pulled apart" Bolton Wanderers during their Championship clash last weekend.

Wolves ran out 5-1 winners at Molineux as they strengthened their position at the top of the standings, while Bolton now sit at the bottom of the table.

Henry spent seven years at Wolves between 2006 and 2013, and the veteran has revealed that he did not realise that Nuno Espirito Santo's side had been performing at such a high level.

The 35-year-old told Bolton News: "Some of the goals were slightly farcical, however we were outclassed on the day. Wolves can do that to teams and they will continue to do that to teams in this league.

"I had seen bits of Wolves and heard how great they are and I am guilty of not realising how good they are – they were better than I thought. Their movement and quality were very good and they pulled us apart and pulled us around."

Henry has made 10 starts for Bolton since joining the North-West outfit in September.
