Steven Fletcher warns Wolves of complacency as they prepare to continue their strong start to the season.

Wolves striker Steven Fletcher has warned his teammates against becoming complacent after their strong start to the season.

Fletcher spent the 2009/10 Premier League season as part of Owen Coyle's Burnley side that took 17 points from their first 13 games but were still relegated at the end of the league campaign.

This season, Wolves have taken seven points from their first three games and are fifth in the league. However, Fletcher knows that he and his teammates must maintain focus.

"We've made a good start to the season," Fletcher told The Birmingham Mail. "The boys have been playing well and the important thing now is that we keep it going.

"It would be nice to be a bit further up the table before the end of the season and not go through what we did last year. It’s going to be difficult again though and we'll have to see how it goes.

"I was at Burnley when we made a good start and still ended up being relegated so there's no way I'm looking into our position too much at this early stage of the season."

The Wanderers will host Tottenham at Molineux next weekend, following the international break.
