Terry Connor is calling on his Wolverhampton Wanderers players to replicate the spirit shown on the final day of last season when their 3-2 defeat at Ewood Park kept them in the Premier League.
Wolves, who had been 3-0 down, clawed two vital goals back, meaning that they led Birmingham on goal difference and the Blues would have had to win at White Hart Lane to stay up
Connor, who was Mick McCarthy's assistant that day, will watch his side play Blackburn Rovers again this weekend knowing that a win will see his Wolves leapfrog their opponents and a go three points clear of the relegation zone.
"Last season's game was a real rollercoaster. This isn't quite the same but it's still important," the 49-year-old told The Sun.
"We survived with three minutes of the season left and if that's what it takes to stay in the Premier League, then I'll settle for that.
"Now we need that spirit again."
Connor will have to decide whether to select captain Roger Johnson, who turned up for training under the influence of alcohol on Monday and was fined £50,000.
