Half-Time Report: Wolverhampton Wanderers goalless at Shrewsbury Town

Wolverhampton Wanderers and Shrewsbury Town are goalless at the break, despite good chances for both teams in the opening 45 minutes.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are being held to a goalless draw at Shrewsbury Town at half time.

Both teams have had good chances to take the lead, and both have their goalkeeper to thank for keeping the score level.

Shrewsbury goalkeeper Chris Weale was forced into an early save from Bakary Sako's powerful drive after just six minutes.

The hosts improved after that, though, and it was Wolves' Carl Ikeme who was called into action, first from Jon Taylor's volley and then tipping Ryan Woods's long-range effort over the bar.

It was the away side who dominated thereafter, with Weal again keeping his side in the game. The Shrewsbury goalkeeper produced two saves from Bjorn Sigurdarson, tipping the second effort onto the post.

Wolves were not able to capitalise on their chances, though, and the sides went in level.
