Captain Gary Caldwell returns from a hip complaint to play in defence for Wigan Athletic against Swansea City.

Gary Caldwell has recovered from a hip injury to captain Wigan Athletic against Swansea City this evening.

The Scotland international has been named in a three-man defence, while James McArthur has returned in midfield.

Visiting Swansea are without their leading goalscorer Michu, who has a hamstring injury. His place has gone to Israeli striker Itay Shechter, with defender Angel Rangel given a more advanced role.

Wigan: Robles; Boyce, Caldwell, Scharner; Espinoza, Watson, McArthur, McManaman, McCarthy; Maloney; Kone
