Team News: Dan Gosling makes first Blackpool start at Wigan Athletic

Dan Gosling has been handed his first start for Blackpool in this afternoon's Championship clash with Lancashire rivals Wigan Athletic.

The 23-year-old, who is on loan from Newcastle United, replaces Isaac Osbourne as the Tangerines make one change from the side that drew 0-0 at Charlton two weeks ago.

Alex Rae and former boss Steve Thompson are in charge of Blackpool today, as manager Paul Ince begins his five-match stadium ban.

Opponents Wigan will start the contest without a recognised striker in their starting XI.

Forwards Grant Holt and Marc-Antoine Fortune are on the bench, while Manchester United loanee Nick Powell is expected to be deployed in the 'false number nine' position.
