Sports Mole looks ahead to this Saturday's crucial Premier League battle between Wigan Athletic and Norwich City.

As we reach the business end of the season, Wigan Athletic enter familiar territory as every game becomes crucial in their bid to remain in the Premier League.

The Latics are lingering in the bottom three of the table, with three points separating them from safety as they prepare to welcome Norwich City to the DW Stadium.

In contrast, the Canaries, who have only claimed one victory in their last six league encounters, travel to the North-West on Saturday in 12th place, seven points away from the drop zone.

Wigan's relegation battle has been put on the back burner in the last week as the headlines have centred around young winger Callum McManaman, who was heavily criticised for injuring Newcastle United's Massadio Haidara with a tackle in the Latics' victory over the Magpies.

Despite the controversy, manager Roberto Martinez has attempted to distance the club away from the situation and focus on Norwich, who secured a 2-1 win over Saturday's opponents in December.

McManaman could keep his spot in the starting lineup at the DW Stadium if he overcomes an ankle injury, while Norwich manager Chris Hughton will place Lee Camp in goal due to Mark Bunn's suspension.
